There’s something so special about documenting the quiet excitement before a baby arrives, and this beautiful maternity photoshoot in Chippenham, Wiltshire was full of warmth, laughter, and golden evening light.
We met during golden hour, my favourite time of day for creating soft, glowing images with a relaxed and natural feel. The buttercup fields were in full bloom, adding the dreamiest splash of yellow across the countryside and creating the perfect backdrop for this session.
One of the lovely things about this shoot was that mum-to-be chose an outfit from my client wardrobe. I always want my sessions to feel as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, and having access to carefully chosen dresses helps clients feel comfortable, confident, and beautifully styled without the pressure of buying something new just for photos.
The whole evening was fun, friendly, and completely laid back - exactly how I believe maternity photography should feel. No awkward posing or forced smiles, just genuine moments, connection, and time spent soaking in this exciting chapter before life changes forever.
